Around 12 noon, around ten activists from Scientist Rebellion appeared at Stachus and blocked the road.
Two demonstrators glued themselves to the street.
Munich
– Scientist Rebellion carried out a climate protest at the Stachus on Friday afternoon.
Two demonstrators stuck to the street at the corner of Prielmayerstrasse.
The others sat around them, blocking the entire lane in the direction of Sendlinger Tor.
This quickly triggered a gridlock in early weekend traffic through Munich.
The demonstrators were dressed in white coats and carried banners reading "The problem is us" and "Protecting the climate is not a crime".
The Munich police saw the latter a bit differently.
Several stripes approached.
Of course, the officials first had to remove the two demonstrators, who had each been stuck with one hand, from the street.
Karlsplatz between Elisenstraße and Bayerstraße had to be completely closed for the operation.
Activist Jörg Alt had stuck himself on the street.
The police had to close the street longer for the de-taping.
