The Ministry of Health announced today that the total number of cholera cases confirmed by the rapid test has risen to 1,097.
The injuries were distributed in Aleppo 658, Deir Ezzor 194, Hasaka 75, Raqqa 48, Lattakia 46, As-Suwayda 24, Damascus 14, Hama 11, Homs 11, Daraa 5, Damascus countryside 6, Tartous 4, and Quneitra 1.
According to a ministry statement, SANA received a copy of it today, the total number of deaths from the disease reached 46, distributed in Aleppo 39, Al-Hasakah 4, Deir ez-Zor 2, and Damascus 1.
The ministry called for the need to follow public health procedures represented in washing hands with soap and water for a period of no less than 30 seconds, and using covered and clean containers to transport and store them, and if the water is not safe, it must be boiled for at least two minutes, as well as washing hands with soap and water frequently, especially Before handling or preparing food, before eating, after cleaning the child, before breastfeeding or feeding the child, and after using the toilet.
She stressed the need to properly reheat food leftovers to kill bacteria before eating them and cover them, to avoid flies and the transmission of diseases, in addition to the need to maintain the cleanliness and safety of water and sanitation facilities in schools, and not to drink water directly from the tap in the mouth, and not to exchange water bottles or cups between students.
