Vittorio Boiocchi, 69, the historic head of the ultras of Inter, was killed this evening on the street on the outskirts of Milan: he was hit by several gunshots that hit him in the neck and chest around 7.45 pm, in via Fratelli Zanzottera, in the Figino district on the outskirts of the city.

Transported in desperate conditions to the San Carlo hospital, he died in the emergency room.

What appears to be an ambush occurred shortly before the start of the Nerazzurri's home game against Sampdoria.

After the news spread, the Curva Nord of Inter remained silent, without displaying banners and singing chants during the match against their opponents at San Siro, then the Boys left the stands - the second ring - during the interval.

Boiocchi practically lived a life between prison and stadium,

Several definitive convictions collected over time: robbery, drug trafficking and kidnapping.

He had spent over 26 years in prison, the last time he was arrested in 2021 by the Milanese mobile squad which is now investigating his murder.

He had also been joined by five years of Daspo following the clashes that took place after Inter-Napoli in 2018, the occasion in which Varese ultras Dede Belardinelli died.

Last May the Supreme Court had rejected his appeal, which is why he had to stay two kilometers from the stadium during the matches.

The mobile squad, directed by Marco Calì, had arrested him, as mentioned, in 2021 after having surprised him in a car with a gun, a knife, handcuffs, taser and a bib of the Guardia di Finanza,

all material that turned out to be equipment to commit extortion.

In the world of the North curve of the Inter ultras, the figure of Boiocchi has always been respected.

In 2019, after about 26 years in prison, he had returned to the stadium, and the ultras had dedicated a choir to him.

A tribute that an old friend of his, Franchino Caravita, had considered an affront, to the point that the confrontation between the two had ended in fistfights and it had been Caravita himself who had taken them.

It seemed the beginning of a breakup and instead the two had quickly reassured the people of the fans by posting a photo together from the hospital bed of Boiocchi, in the meantime suffering from a heart attack.
