Nine people were killed and 13 others injured in a gas tank explosion east of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
And the Iraqi News Agency quoted the commander of Baghdad operations, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Salim, as saying: "Nine civilians were martyred and 13 others were wounded as a result of the explosion of a gas tank in a garage in the area between Talbieh and the Cairo neighborhood, east of the capital, Baghdad."
Selim explained that "the accident of the tanker explosion was caused by a technical malfunction, not a terrorist act."
