The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, affirmed that the agreement that was completed on the file of demarcating the Lebanese maritime borders with occupied Palestine is a great victory for Lebanon, the state, the people and the resistance, and it gave the Lebanese state full sovereignty over its territorial waters.
Sayyed Nasrallah said in a speech broadcast by Al-Manar TV: The steadfastness and steadfastness of the Lebanese negotiator and the seriousness of the resistance to go to a comprehensive war prompted the enemy entity to abandon its threats, and prompted the United States to stop its pressure as a prelude to reaching an agreement on the maritime borders as Lebanon wanted, explaining that the Israeli enemy recognized a balance Deterrence with the resistance, as a result of what happened in the demarcation file.
Nasrallah pointed out that the Israeli occupation entity drew the line known as Line 1, starting from Naqoura, to take a huge area that Lebanon considers a right and its exclusive economic zone, and prevented anyone from approaching it, explaining that what Lebanon obtained during the negotiations between Line 1 and Line 23 Lebanon wanted an area of 879 square kilometres.
Nasrallah stressed that the territorial waters are part of the Lebanese state and have complete sovereignty over it, so that it benefits from its wealth and bounties, describing the result of the indirect maritime negotiations as an important result, and a great historical victory despite the survival of a stuck small square, an area of 2.5 km, which is considered Occupied territory must be liberated.
Nasrallah concluded by saying: “We must trust Lebanon’s strength and its official and popular resistance position, which constitutes the guarantee,” stressing that no one will be able to extract and sell oil and gas if Lebanon is prevented from extracting its oil and gas, especially since what is imposed on the Israeli enemy, America and the West to reach matters What it has become today can be the real guarantee.
