Every child gets into overwhelming conflict situations in the first years of daycare and school, which often lead to bullying and exclusion.

This was also a topic at the two elementary schools in Maria Thalheim and Reichenkirchen, which took part in the "Week of Health and Sustainability" organized by the Bavarian Ministry of Education.

Fraunberg

– The ministry had put the “Health and Sustainability Week” under the motto “Growing together”.

The guest was the self-assertion and resilience trainer Chiara van Willigen from Freising from "Strong without Muckis".

She showed the students effective ways of dealing with the most common forms of conflict, how to face the future stronger and how to benefit as a team from the fact that there are fewer aggressions and arguments.

To do this, she completed age-appropriate exercises with the students in all eight classes to strengthen self-esteem and team spirit.

How can children become more confident in their communication and their appearance?

How can they learn to treat each other with more respect, to be more goal-oriented, to surpass themselves and also to enjoy doing things that are strenuous or difficult, such as homework, theater performances or athletic competitions?

All of that was on the agenda.

Van Willigen did physical exercises with the students.

“Together you can sustain the circle we are making right now.

It's a good feeling when you hold each other.

Remember for the future: My mistakes aren't bad because I'll be smarter afterwards," the expert said to the children.
