A state of emergency was declared in South Korea: more than 20 dead in a civil disaster during the Halloween celebrations (use according to Article 27 A of the Copyright Law)
59 people were killed this evening (Saturday) in a mass stampede in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, when a large crowd was pushed into the city center to celebrate Halloween.
150 people were injured in the incident.
In the first reports from the scene, it was stated that 50 people needed CPR, after going into cardiac arrest. 81 people reported breathing difficulties.
South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol has ordered emergency preparedness in hospitals in Seoul.
Photos of many people who needed the assistance of the rescue forces and private citizens were published on social networks.
According to reports, about 100,000 people crowded into the Itaewon area of Seoul.
This is the first Halloween celebration in the open air since the corona epidemic broke out.
One of the eyewitnesses wrote on her Twitter account: "The scariest Halloween of my life. 30 injured, 400 rescuers in the area. Please avoid coming to the Itaivan area."
