He was taken to the Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera in an unstable condition, being sedated, and today he woke up and communicated with his parents.

In the same event, a 20-year-old man was killed by police shots.

Vaed Amash's mother, Khedra, told Israel Hayom: "Thank God, my son is in a better condition, communicating with the environment, woke up, and was out of danger. Yesterday he was playing in the yard and his uncle was also sitting there and suddenly came masked and shot in their direction and ran away."

"I was inside, I heard the shooting and I went outside and saw my son wounded on the floor and his uncle next to him, I started yelling for them to call an ambulance," she repeated.

"It's scary when you see your son's blood on the floor. I think it needs to be put an end to. In the village, the situation is on the face, every week someone is injured by a gunshot. Someone needs to stop this round of violence. My son is 12 years old, he has no enemies, what is his fault that he was shot Where? It's already dangerous in Jeser to eat pizza or play in the yard."

The incident began when suspects arrived in the yard of a house in the settlement and shot Jobran and a 25-year-old man who was moderately injured.

In the meantime, the police officers operating in the area heard bursts of gunfire and noticed two suspects holding firearms in their hands.

The policemen got into an exchange of fire between several armed men, and when they sensed a danger to their lives, they also fired at the suspects.

As a result, Mohammed Jarban, a young man of about 20, was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Another man, 24 years old, was seriously injured.

Sami Elali, chairman of the People's Committee in Jasar al-Zarqa, told Israel Hayom: "A number of factors have led to the increase in crime in the village in recent years.

Among them are conflicts between young people that developed and accumulated, and involved criminal elements and criminal organizations as arbitrators or service providers to one of the parties.

It is true that there is a heavy responsibility on the police in the fight against crime, given the fact that the police, unfortunately, have become part of the problem instead of being part of the solution, but the Arab society and the villagers also have a responsibility."

Shooting incident in Jasr al-Zarqa: two seriously and moderately wounded

Elali added that "the disgraceful situation intensifies because of the silence of the silent majority, who over the years have surrendered to the violent minority that controls the public sphere and the various spheres of life and takes lives. Instead of ostracizing and imposing a boycott and war on that minority, society gives legitimacy to criminals until they have become part of the landscape.

We must come to our senses and declare war on all The social and legal measures against those leprous criminals."
