(CNN Spanish) -
The Dutch driver Max Verstappen, of the Red Bull team, won the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix this Sunday, a result with which he continues to reinforce his status as two-time world champion of the 2022 season.
The podium of the race was completed by the British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and the Mexican Sergio "Checo" Pérez (Red Bull).
Last year, the Mexican GP had the same podium as this Sunday: Verstappen in first, Hamilton in second and Pérez in third.
Verstappen, who took pole position on Saturday, dominated the Mexican Grand Prix from the start of the race.
Hamilton, his closest pursuer, was almost 15 seconds behind the Dutchman, while "Checo" Pérez was almost 20 seconds behind his teammate.
