More than 156 million Brazilians went out today (Sunday) to vote and decide on the leader who will lead them for the next four years, when the latest polls showed that the leader of the Workers' Party (PT) Incio "Lula" da Silva is the popular candidate in the second and final round of the general elections.
However, in the last weeks since the first round was held, the incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro, managed to narrow the gap and it seems that the Christian vote was one of the factors that influenced the results, one way or the other.

Already during the voting, the people of "Lola" seemed disturbed and claimed that the police detained entire buses of voters in the northeast of the country, districts considered to be supporters of the Workers' Party and prevented their access to the polling stations.
"We may be facing one of the biggest frauds in history," wrote PT senator and former Brazilian health minister Humberto Costa.
One of the interesting moments of the current round occurred when the president's wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, went to vote at the polls wearing a shirt with the Israeli flag.
"May the blessings of our God be upon Brazil and Israel. God, homeland, family and freedom," she wrote on her Instagram account with a special dedication to the Jewish people.

As I recall, President Bolsonaro is considered an ardent supporter of Israel and is supported by most evangelical Christians in the country.
A victory for de Silva would be further evidence of a continent-wide process of breaking to the left, with the three largest economies in South America (Brazil, Mexico and Argentina) under the control of populists advocating socialism.
On the other hand, Bolsonero's victory means maintaining a pro-Western policy, economic conservatism and above all, supporting the State of Israel.
Meanwhile, votes were also held in the last hours in Israel, where the incumbent president obtained a majority of 53.4 percent of the votes against 46.6 percent.
On the other hand, in the territories, his opponent recorded a victory of 90.5 percent.
