Chaser Lenggries is defeated by leader SV Miesbach 1:3 and has to settle for third place in the points round.

Miesbach/Lenggries – Stefan Simon soberly analyzed the 1:3 defeat of his Lenggrieser SC at leaders SV Miesbach: “Our physical condition was not optimal.

As a coach, I have to chalk that up to a certain extent to myself.

We didn't put in the performance that we were actually capable of."

Miesbach with a lower error rate

On top of that, the home side were more effective and had a lower error rate than the former second in the table.

The LSC defenders took the Miesbacher striker Josef Sontheim out of the game so far that he didn't score a goal himself.

But that's what makes a top player, that he then puts the ball on the better positioned next man.

In this case Florian Stoib, who put the home side ahead twice within ten minutes.

In between, Florian Freiberger managed to equalize, which the LSC coach ennobled as "one of our few very good combinations".

Jakob Gerg served the deep-running Freiberger with perfect timing, who slid in from an acute angle from the inside right into the far corner.

Only a handful of chances to score for LSC

Shortly thereafter, the home side took the lead again.

Unlucky in two respects: The Lenggrieser produced a chain of errors when in possession of the ball, which Stoib punished with the 2:1 from a suspected offside position.

"It's a shame," said Simon, "we gradually found our way into the game." Since the Lenggrieser pressing didn't work well either, the chances to score could be counted on one hand: An action by Michael Schnaderbeck defused Miesbach's goalkeeper with a foot defence, a header by Gerg went the crossbar, the shot went over it, Sebastian Biagini headed just wide, and in the final phase Korbinian Demmel also aimed wide of the SV goal.

The decision was made by Markus Weinbacher, who, as a joker, headed a free kick from Tobias Veit into the net to make it 3-1 just four minutes after being substituted on.

While the Miesbachers only need one point for the autumn championship and Hausham has stalked their way up to second place due to the Lenggrieser slip-up, the topic of the autumn championship is over for Simon and his now third-placed team.

Miesbach and Hausham would hardly show any weakness against Rot-Weiß Tölz and Sauerlach.

"In this respect, the table reflects the performance and consistency of the three top teams."
