The castle inn in Oberschleißheim has been remodeled for years.
Now the renovation is apparently coming to an end: a tenant is already being sought for the restaurant.
Oberschleißheim
– In the spring of 2023, the Schlosswirtschaft in Schleißheim is scheduled to open its doors again.
The Bavarian Palace Administration is now looking for a tenant.
In the coming year, the popular Oberschleißheim traditional inn invites guests to the extensively renovated, historic interior.
After more than eight years of standstill, the beer garden is also to start operating.
It was first reported in August that the work in the listed castle restaurant, which has been going on for years, may actually be finished soon.
However, it was not possible to find out whether the opening date of early 2023 mentioned at the time can be kept.
The Schleißheim Palaces and Gardens Administration (SGV) did not reveal anything more than that the economy is to be put into operation next year.
Tenants who are interested in the restaurant with a good 250 seats and a large, shady beer garden, which is popular beyond the region, are invited to apply through the SGV Schleissheim.
A digital synopsis is available to interested parties on their homepage.
Application deadline is January 16th.
It is not known whether the well-known Munich restaurateurs and Oktoberfest hosts, Daniel (31) and Sebastian (33) Abele, will also apply for the castle restaurant.
Neither Daniel nor Sebastian Abele could be reached for a conversation.
In November 2014, the brothers took over the "Alm", which had been designed as a temporary solution.
Alm operations had to be stopped in autumn 2020 due to work on the facade of the castle restaurant.
In the meantime, the conversion costs for the economy have risen from 5.8 to 15.5 million euros.
Whether it stays that way is uncertain because of the ongoing crisis.
