Dr. Haifa Juma'a, a member of the People's Assembly and Vice-Chairman of the Syrian-Iranian Friendship Committee in the Assembly, confirmed the strong relations between the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
During her meeting with the head of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Gomaa noted Iran's supportive stance for Syria in various fields.
Referring to the visit she made and the Syrian parliamentary delegation accompanying today to the Iranian Innovation House exhibition, she said: We were briefed on Iranian achievements in the scientific, technical, technological and medical fields, pointing out that there are many areas of cooperation between them, which is reflected positively on the development, modernization and construction process in Syria.
It also touched on the aggressive Turkish practices and the theft of Syrian oil and wheat by the US occupation.
For his part, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stressed the importance of the resistance front for Iran, pointing to his country's constant quest for integration and unification of Islamic countries with each other and criticizing some governments, especially America and the Zionist entity, who seek to create differences in the region and between Islamic countries.
The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly also stressed the need to strengthen the private sector in the two countries to improve the level of economic cooperation, expressing his hope that the visit of the Syrian parliamentary delegation to Iran would be effective and fruitful in developing economic cooperation and supporting the private sector in the two countries, pointing to the importance of the role of the friendship committees in both councils. .
