At Zona Pop CNN we compile some of the most notable premieres of the last week of October 2022. Check out the list of these musical premieres and their videos.

Musical premieres of the week:

Lasso, "Running with scissors"

The Venezuelan singer Lasso presented last Thursday "Running with scissors", a song in which, he explains, he sings to toxic loves.

Hence, he has used the metaphor of running with scissors to talk about those relationships that sooner or later will inflict some kind of damage on you.

“When we were little our parents constantly warned us about the dangers of life, and perhaps the most cliché of all was either not to run in pools or not to run with scissors.

And because?

Well, because you were probably going to hurt yourself.

Well, what if this supposed scissors is not a dangerous object like a knife, an electric saw or a lego, what if these scissors are a person, a toxic relationship.

And running is not running, but being.

So

Running with Scissors

becomes being with a person in a toxic relationship,” Lasso explained on his Instagram account.

The song follows hits like “Ojos marrones”, which he remixed with Sebastián Yatra, “Yo-yo”, “Algodón”, and “Dios”.

Paula Arenas, “One day at a time”

Colombian singer-songwriter Paula Arenas returns to our list of musical premieres with her new single, “Un día a vez”.

A song that was born in a moment of reflection and her fight against depression and anxiety.

Arenas documented his experience in a series of confessional videos that he posted on both his Instagram account and TikTok.

The singer opened her heart and spoke, in her first installment, about how difficult 2022 has been for her and how she has been battling her own demons.

“This year has been difficult for me and I want to open up with you.

We all go through difficult times day by day, and I think that unfortunately we are the ones who do the most damage to ourselves.

Hopefully we can live

One day at a time

, ”Arenas said in the post.

The video clip of the song was directed and animated by Arenas's husband, the designer Beto Pérez Fleta.

Manuel Turizo and María Becerra, “Ecstasy”

Colombian singer Manuel Turizo and the “girl from Argentina”, María Becerra, arrive on our list of musical premieres with their most recent collaboration, “Éxtasis”.

The theme, which speaks of the beginning of a love relationship, was composed by the interpreters together with Julián Turizo, Miguel Andrés Martínez and Juan Diego Medina.

The song was produced by Slow and La Industria INC.

“I feel very happy to see what I am achieving with my music, this is a very beautiful theme full of love like everything I do for my fans and I hope to continue surprising them with more songs and more of what I love to do, which is music” Turizo said about the single through a statement.

“Éxtasis” is part of “2000”, Turizo's third studio album.

Pol Granch, “Spit Love”

Spanish singer and actor Pol Granch presented his second album, “Amor escupido” on Friday.

Amor escupido

is an album full of dramas and emotions, but at the same time tremendously generic”, explains the man from Madrid.

Its title refers to those song-shaped darts of passion, darts spit out by a young man full of doubts who discovers love and heartbreak in the fullness of it.

"It's kind of a first-person account of someone looking for what he feels," Granch said in a statement shared by his label, Sony Music.

Granch is currently nominated for a 2022 Latin Grammy in the Best New Artist category.

From “Amor escupido” comes “Que Todo Se Test”, the single with which he presents the production.

Reik, Rusherking, "By My Side"

We finish our main list of musical premieres with the new Reik.

It is "A mi lado", a collaboration with the Argentine Rusherking.

"After a few years of doing many collaborations in the urban world, it's nice to approach a more pop sound again. Above all, it's exciting to come back accompanied by young people who are doing new things, who have fresh ears and who, in the end, inevitably they do not take us to another place. It has been a nice experience to develop the song and the video that we recorded in Mexico City in an abandoned house, "said Jesús Navarro, Reik's vocalist, on the subject.

Other outstanding musical premieres of Zona Pop CNN:

Don Omar and Akon, “Good girl”

Morat and Feid, “Get out alive”

Carlos Baute, "Not half"

Rauw Alejandro, “Tell me who???”

Juan Gabriel and Anahí, “Let me live”
