Geretsried: Hall occupancy is to be optimized with new software

In the future, the city of Geretsried will work with software to optimize the allocation of halls.
The sports development plan is also to be posted on the Internet.
Geretsried – As Beate Mews from the sports department recently reported at the meeting of the city council committee for youth, senior citizens, social affairs, culture and sports (Jusskus), a new procedure should be developed in order to create a meaningful assignment.
"We make sure to only allocate times that are actually used," says Mews.

Hall allocation is one of the issues that arose from updating the sports development plan.
As reported, the Institute for Cooperative Planning and Sport Development (ikps) from Stuttgart has revised the concept, which is more than ten years old.
Schools, sports clubs and day-care centers took part.
ikps presented the final report to the city council at the end of last year.
The Jusskuss has now decided to publish it on the city's website.
The sports development plan from 2009 should also be available there in the future.
According to Beate Mews, the time horizon for the implementation of the measures is ten years.
The catalog has a suggestive character.
"The implementation of the recommendations is to be seen subject to the financial and personnel feasibility as well as the basic political mood," explained the sports office employee.
In view of the ongoing budget consolidation, the measures that could be implemented cost-effectively were given high priority, such as the allocation of halls.

In this context, Elmar Immertreu (Geretsrieder Liste) wanted to know whether clubs actually reserve hall times that they would not use.
"They take the place away from other clubs," he criticized.
Mews agreed.
"Halls must always be fully utilized." Especially since there are inquiries that the city cannot serve for capacity reasons.

Recently, the third mayor, Gerhard Meinl (CSU), on behalf of the budget consolidation working group, asked the city council to assign it, among other things, to consider the investment needs of the municipality over the next 15 years.
The application fell through, among other things with the argument that in these times you don't even know what next year will be.
In the Jusskus session, Meinl added: "I'm pleased that they are subject to a ten-year plan here, which some in the household feel unable to do."
