Suspected murder on election day: the body of a 68-year-old woman was found this morning (Tuesday) in an apartment in Herzliya, her partner was arrested.
According to the police statement, a report was received regarding a woman stabbed in an apartment on HaKern Street in the city, the woman was treated on the spot by medical officials and her condition was defined as serious, after which MDA paramedics pronounced her dead.
The police arrested a suspicious man, the background and circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
MDA paramedic Shai Ra'anan and MDA emergency medicine medic Binyamin Saadia said: "When we arrived at the scene we joined the police forces and entered the building. We saw an unconscious woman with penetrating injuries to her body, we performed medical tests on her, she had no signs of life and we had to pronounce her dead on the spot. "
According to initial reports, the neighbors saw a woman lying in the apartment with blood all around her and called the police and MDA. Afterwards, the police confirmed that it was suspected that the suspect in the murder was the 70-year-old victim's husband.
