As usual, in the Pink Month, the Youth Charity Association implements community initiatives to provide health awareness, and the necessary medical procedures for breast cancer.
In this regard, the association has implemented its annual campaign (You are the Life) since the beginning of last October, in cooperation with the Qudsaya Suburb Medical Complex and Al-Sham Islamic Bank to provide the necessary services for the early detection of breast cancer, which includes women in the governorate of Damascus and its countryside, according to Nadine Talaa from The association's media office.
Talaa pointed out that the campaign included providing free mammography services for women, in addition to a free clinical examination within women's clinics and general surgery, and a 50 percent discount on echocardiography. Awareness by doctors specializing in gynecology and general surgery.
The Ministry of Health had launched a national awareness campaign about breast cancer with the beginning of last October, which is the international month for awareness of early detection of breast cancer, the pink month, which begins on the first of October of each year to remind women of the need to conduct periodic medical examinations for early detection of the disease, which is considered It is one of the most common cancers they have.
