After the mudslinging over his children on the second day of the trial, the criminal trial of Jérôme Boateng (34) is entering its final phase today.

The football star is said to have beaten up his girlfriend, he faces a million dollar fine and probation.

Is there a verdict today?

Munich – Jérôme Boateng is in a bind.

The ex-professional of FC Bayern Munich has to endure a third day of negotiations at the regional court today.

His former partner has accused the soccer star of punching her while on vacation in the Caribbean in 2018.

In Munich there was a mud fight in court.

Most recently, the couple publicly argued about the twins (10 years old today), who have been living with Jérôme Boateng since 2015.

He currently plays for Olympique Lyon in France, but plays almost no role in the first division club anymore.

Instead, Boateng now has a public appearance in court in Munich - and is under a lot of pressure here.

Jérôme Boateng in court in Munich: ex-Bayern star beat up his girlfriend

Because after the serious allegations of his former partner, of whose injuries photos were also shown publicly, Boateng continued to be shelled today - he is on the defensive, especially since the women had probably also talked to each other about physical attacks by the football star.

Corresponding messages are now to be published in court today, which support the thesis of the former partner, who says: "I was used to physical assaults by Jérôme." Allegedly, other of his partners were also beaten.

The court now wants to follow up these indications very closely on the third day of the hearing.

In the process, judge Andreas Forstner had been friendly and understanding, but also very meticulous.

The chairman also made it clear to Boateng that his sentence could also be much higher than in the first trial last year at the district court.

At that time, Boateng was fined 1.8 million euros.

The 2014 world champion categorically rejected an agreement that was intended to shorten the process - he could not "reconcile a partial admission of the accused crimes with my conscience."
