At least one inmate died in a confrontation that took place in the Guayas prison, Ecuador, as confirmed by the National Comprehensive Care Service for prisoners (SNAI) this Wednesday.

The confrontation in Guayas takes place after the episodes of concern and terror that they experienced during the early hours of Tuesday in Guayaquil and Esmeraldas.
The Ecuadorian Police reported more than ten attacks and car bomb explosions against police units at different points in the two cities.
Police authorities confirmed the death of 5 agents during an attack with firearms on a patrol car by criminals.
In addition, they reported that they arrested those presumed responsible for these events without giving more details about the number of suspects that are in their custody.
