The IAA mobility trade fair will be held in Munich again next year.

There will also be exhibition space in the city center again.

Munich – The second edition of the IAA mobility trade fair in Munich is scheduled to start on September 5, 2023 and end on September 10, a week before Oktoberfest.

"The focus is on sustainable and intelligently networked mobility solutions," announced the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and Messe München on Wednesday.

BMW, Audi, Mercedes & Co. represented at the second IAA in Munich

Exhibitors include the car manufacturers Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Porsche and VW.

But the suppliers Bosch, Brose, Continental, Denso, ElringKlinger, Magna, Kirchhoff, Schaeffler and ZF are also on the agenda.

Just like the tech groups Luminar and Qualcomm, the battery groups CATL and Farasis, the energy supplier EnBW, the e-bike manufacturers Stromer or Brose eBikes, the German Aerospace Center and the Fraunhofer Society.

Visitors can test zero-emission cars and electric bicycles on test routes between the city center and the exhibition center.

"Our goal is to make this global innovative power tangible for all target groups at the IAA Mobility - because an innovation is only established when it is used by the majority of society," said VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel.

IAA Munich 2021 with over 400,000 visitors

At the premiere of the IAA in Munich in 2021, the organizers counted over 400,000 visitors despite Corona.

It is an example of the successful change "from a classic trade fair to a forward-looking mobility platform," said trade fair managing director Stefan Rummel.

In the city center there will again be exhibition and festival areas at Wittelsbacher Platz, Odeonsplatz, Marstallplatz, Königsplatz, Marienplatz, Max-Joseph-Platz as well as in Ludwigstrasse, Hofgartenstrasse and the Residenzhöfe.

The area is the same as last year.

In the exhibition halls in Riem, trade visitors should come together for the industry get-together.

On September 4th, the press day will take place with the exhibitors' press conferences.
