Tehran, SANA- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, affirmed that his visit to Tehran is an expression of strength

Tehran-Sana

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, affirmed that his visit to Tehran comes as an expression of Syria's standing by Iran in the face of the malicious attack recently launched by the United States and "Israel" and their tools against it, in addition to following up on consultations between the two countries in various fields of cooperation.

Minister Miqdad indicated during a press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian today that the conspiracies targeting the two countries will fall because they contradict the wills of their peoples, indicating that the West's targeting of Iran and Syria aims to undermine their positions rejecting attempts to dominate.

Minister Miqdad pointed out that the hypocrisy, forgery and methods of blackmail followed by Western countries are what created terrorist organizations to implement their agendas, and that "Jabhat al-Nusra", "ISIS" and the rest of the terrorist organizations were born in the bosom of the West, pointing out that Western economic sanctions do not target governments but rather kill peoples and that The United States continues to plunder Syria's wealth of oil, wheat, and cotton to deprive the Syrian people of it.

Miqdad explained that the discussions included coordination between the two countries at the United Nations and international forums to confront the attempts of one pole to dominate the world in violation of the United Nations Charter, stressing Syria's support for Iran's position in the ongoing discussions on reviving the nuclear agreement.

Minister Miqdad said, "I had constructive discussions with President Ibrahim Raisi on strengthening bilateral relations and various regional and international issues."

For his part, Minister Abdullahian said: “We discussed ways to enhance cooperation in all fields, especially economic and trade, and we agreed to hold a meeting of the Joint Higher Committee for Economic Cooperation between the two countries in the near future. There is great progress in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, and its development will be discussed during the next meeting.” The Joint Higher Committee.
