Dachau – Just over a year ago, the district-wide trade association “Dachau acts”, which was founded during the corona pandemic by the BDS local group “Die Münchner Straße”, the advertising community from Dachau and the district office of the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association, brought in performance from the city and district had been financially supported, a voucher and job card system.

Purchasing power should be maintained in the Dachau district

The aim was to keep the purchasing power of the people of Dachau in the district.

The job card was designed as a reloadable voucher card that employers can pay into and give their employees a tax-free extra.

The credit can also be redeemed flexibly with the voucher card.

Balance sheet after one year: The concept works.

As Ralf Weimer, Managing Director of "Dachau Handel" GmbH explains, there are now 120 acceptance points for the cards in the district.

The range is "huge": The vouchers can be redeemed at "countless shops and service providers - from bakers to restaurants and from bike shops to gyms".

In total, vouchers and job cards with a total value of almost 500,000 euros were issued.

Under the motto "Show morality, buy local", Weimer and Co. hope that many voucher cards will be given away in the coming Christmas season - which will then be redeemed in shops in the district.

To this end, “a new campaign should start in the coming days,” said Weimer.

In addition, the focus of those responsible for "Dachau acts" is still on the job card.

From Weimer's point of view, "every company in the district - regardless of whether it has one employee or 500 - should think about using the job card".

The job card is not only the "optimal instrument for giving employees tax-free benefits in kind and thus a valuable benefit in the competition for employees".

With the job card, every company also does something for the local economy.

“Employers like the Sparkasse” would already set a good example here.
