New Tölzer Hotel Bergeblick: The first rooms are already there

The Hotel Bergeblick is being built on the Wackersbergerhöhe.

38 double rooms, eight suites, two rooftop suites and three lodges with their own pool are planned.

And it's progressing.

Bad Tölz/Wackersberg – You can already see where the double beds will be.

The recesses for the sockets on the bedside tables are already in the freshly installed wooden walls.

You're slowly getting an idea of ​​what the Hotel Bergeblick on the Wackersbergerhöhe will look like one day.

Construction of the first basement level began last week directly above the underground car park.

The glass fronts and balcony doors were installed, as were the wooden partitions in the rooms and the concrete elements for the ceiling.

Because the plot has a four-meter rise and the building nestles into the sloping terrain, guests from the rooms on the first basement level will also have fantastic mountain views.

The three lodges will have their own pool and garden

In the future, 38 double rooms, eight suites and two attic suites will be located on three floors.

There are also three lodges.

"These are tiny houses with their own 1.30 by 3 meter pool and their own garden," explains developer Johannes Tien.

The double rooms are of a manageable size.

However, the balcony in front of it should have a closable curtain at the front in order to be able to practically expand the room in this direction, explains Tien.

"In any case, we want the guests to spend most of their time outside."

The spa area features several saunas and a 13-metre outdoor pool

If you are not on the road, you can visit the spa.

The wellness area will also be located on the first basement floor.

There you still need some imagination between the bare walls.

Saunas, infrared cabins, relaxation rooms, a fitness area with a view of the Blomberg, changing rooms and beauty rooms will also attract day visitors from spring 2023.

In the outdoor area at the back of the hotel, you can already see the circular hole that is supposed to house a pool with a splashing waterfall that serves as a plunge pool.

A meditation room, into which the elements can penetrate through an opening in the ceiling, a "senses" (senses) house with outdoor sauna and yoga room, heated seating stones, an outdoor shower and a 13 by 4 meter outdoor pool complete the spa -area off.

There is no classic reception

The guest will later find the main entrance on the ground floor.

“Here we have a ceiling height of six meters.

The guest comes in and immediately has a view of the forest,” says Tien.

The usual reception area does not block it either, as this does not exist in the "Bergeblick".

Instead, the employee takes a seat at a long table with the vacationer.

So he could first arrive and maybe have a coffee.

The kitchen and breakfast area with an extension to the covered terrace are also located there.

The concept only provides for overnight stays with breakfast

Tien still has the plan to only offer bed and breakfast and maybe finger food and snacks in the evening.

However, he could “imagine cooperation with Tölz inns” in which dinner is reserved for hotel guests so that everyone does not have to look for something on their own.

One can already guess how tall the building – heated with wood chips – will be, because the escape staircase and the area that houses the employee elevator are already there.

The elevator for the guests is installed in the middle.

Incidentally, the cabin is glazed so that the view of the mountains is unobstructed.

Conference rooms are being built on the upper floor: “We already have enquiries”

In addition to the guest rooms, there are also conference rooms on the first floor.

"We already have inquiries," says Tien.

The fireplace room for cozy lounging can also be found there.

On the second floor you can then use the rooftop bar - i.e. the roof bar - among other things.

In total, Tien is investing almost 20 million euros in the site

In terms of costs, everything is still within reason, says Tien with a view to the exploding construction prices.

This is mainly thanks to the intuition and skill of its architect Sebastian Beham, adds the Wackersberger.

There are only difficulties with one trade.

"But we're confident here too." The hotel's website is scheduled to go live from January, and the rooms will be bookable.

The opening is planned for May.

Until then, Tien will still have to find employees for the approximately 20 full-time positions.

"Applications are gladly accepted," he says.

In the end, Tien will have invested almost 20 million euros in the location on the Wackersbergerhöhe - including the purchase prices for the hotel area and the adjacent "Forsthaus", which Tien's family is currently renting out as a holiday home.

A night in a double room should cost around 200 euros.
