Munich – The “Last Generation” group wants to paralyze entire sections of the route in the coming days.

Because every day thousands of people commute on the important traffic arteries between the city and the surrounding area.

Climate activists are currently causing a stir almost every day, and various groups are active across the country.
In Berlin, members of the “Last Generation” threw mashed potatoes at a painting.
And in Munich, “Scientist Rebellion” demonstrators recently invaded an exhibition room at BMW Welt.

With the action, the activists caused damage of tens of thousands of euros, according to the police.
Emergency services have detached the protesters from the body and arrested them.
The young people are being investigated for trespassing, property damage and violation of the assembly law.
According to information from Monday, 15 activists from "Scientist Rebellion" remain in police custody for the time being.
They are to be detained by court order at the latest until Friday.
This should prevent further announced actions, said a police spokesman.

Climate protection does not justify any crime, said Bavaria's Justice Minister Georg Eisenreich (CSU).
He has no understanding for the actions, so Eisenreich.
"Freedom of assembly and freedom of expression end where criminal law begins." Everyone in this country is allowed to express their opinion and protest - but only peacefully.
"Climate protection yes.
Criminal offenses no,” emphasized Eisenreich.
