Schuhbeck empire collapses after verdict: "As an entrepreneur, I failed"

For a long time he was the darling of the Munich chic crowd.
Now Alfons Schuhbeck is alone.
His empire collapses – his regular restaurant closes.
Munich – Three years and two months in prison!
The verdict against Alfons Schuhbeck not only puts an end to his years of mismanagement and tax trickery.
It also ensures that the star chef's business partners jump off.

On the evening of the verdict, the popular Riemer teatro announced that it would remove the Schuhbeck name from the program with immediate effect.
Bayerischer Rundfunk no longer wants to record TV programs with him and no longer want to broadcast those that have already been recorded.

Schuhbeck had already announced in court that things would get tight economically.
Already in June 2021 he had to file for bankruptcy.
"I failed as an entrepreneur," admitted the star chef, who once ran twelve companies.
"He doesn't own a single one anymore," says a confidante.
According to tz information, Schuhbeck is only an employee of Schuhbeck's Company GmbH, which was newly founded in the course of the bankruptcy.
This means that all income that he generates goes into the bankruptcy estate.
Unknown investors had saved Schuhbeck in 2021.
However, he himself said in court: "The new company is doing poorly." Will the South Tyrolean parlors therefore also have to give way?

Schuhbeck goes back to work after the verdict
Schuhbeck had already had to borrow millions of dollars “in order to be able to keep my previous companies at all”.
That failed in the pandemic.
“I had more and more shops over the years and I completely lost track of things.”
Schuhbeck still has a private apartment at the Platzl in Munich, but he is no longer active there as an entrepreneur.
Which didn't stop him from going straight to work in the kitchen of the Südtiroler Stuben after the prison sentence.
However, Schuhbeck was "not available there" yesterday, as a local employee said when asked.

Schuhbeck is currently consulting with his lawyers on whether to appeal.
The deadline is one week.
If the star chef accepts his verdict, he will soon be summoned to prison in Landsberg prison.
