It is a little before 4:30 p.m. when the president of the group of Insoumis deputies, Mathilde Panot, leaves the meeting of the office of the National Assembly.
“We succeeded,” she breathes, visibly relieved.
The members of the office have just voted unanimously – apart from the votes of the National Rally – the heaviest possible disciplinary sanction against the RN deputy, Grégoire de Fournas: censorship with exclusion.
