Since the beginning of October, an apparently mentally ill man has been terrifying the residents of Färberstrasse in Villingen-Schwenningen.

However, the police cannot do anything.

Villingen-Schwenningen – He attacks passers-by, causes car accidents and destroys windows: A mentally ill man scares a neighborhood in Villingen-Schwenningen (Baden-Württemberg).

A video of the man is currently circulating on the internet.

He tries to break the window panes of "Leos's Bar" with a brick.

Again and again he takes the stone in his hand and throws it again with full force against the glass.

The windows shatter, but the man keeps going like mad.

After what feels like an eternity, four police officers finally come and handcuff the man, as reported

The residents of Färberstrasse are in despair.

Such scenes have been happening again and again in the old town of Villingen-Schwenningen since the beginning of October.

And even though the police have intervened several times and numerous charges have already been filed against the man, the police's hands are tied.

Villingen-Schwenningen: innkeeper wants to stop rioters and is injured by him

Also visible on the video: cars driving past the scene without stopping.

A man who watches the hustle and bustle completely uninvolved.

Only innkeeper Leonard Mala had the courage to intervene.

But the landlord of Leo's Bar, on whose windows the man vented his anger, was injured.

"Previously he had rioted in the kebab shop next door.

When I wanted to stop him, he bit me on the thigh and had to go to the hospital," reports Leonard Mala of the

.

An incident in a hotel in Europapark Rust also showed that rioters can cause great damage.

Two drunks took it to such an extreme that they were finally evicted from the house.

The apparently mentally ill man has to answer not only for damage to property, but also for bodily harm.

“The guy hit a woman, he insults and threatens passers-by, causes car accidents.

A total of 18 ads came together,” says Leonard Mala.

As he goes on to say, the man, who appears to be called Firat, even wanted to arm himself with a knife.

Why is this man allowed to remain at large?

In fact, the hands of the police are tied.

The facts are too minor to arrest the man or offer him psychological help.

As Hans-Jörg Roth, senior public prosecutor, told

Bild

, the hurdles for admission to a closed psychiatric ward were high.

“In any case, the prerequisites are weighty inciting acts.

Something must have happened there.”

Video horrified on social networks - "Does a person have to die first?"

So residents will have to wait in horror to see what happens next.

People on Facebook are appalled that nothing can be done about the rioter.

"What has to happen before he gets admitted?

So, something is wrong with our legal system," writes one user.

"Does a person have to die first?" asks another.

Another is annoyed that nobody is doing anything to stop the man.

“No passer-by intervenes.

Everyone is watching,” reads one comment.

In March, rioters in Villingen-Schwenningen also caused unrest.

In the night from Shrove Monday to Tuesday, several rioters mingled with a group of revelers and threw dangerous objects.
