Thousands of Italians demonstrated to demand a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine and a halt to arms supplies to it.
The RIA Novosti news agency reported that the participants in the demonstration, which came under the name "Europe for Peace", affirmed their opposition to the supply of arms to Ukraine, carrying banners reading "Dialogue, no arms" and "Yes to negotiations, No to arms supply."
According to the organizers and Italian police estimates, about 30 thousand people participated in the demonstration, representing about 600 organizations and public associations from all over Italy in the framework of an initiative for peace.
