The news hit many out of the blue: Peter Huber from Wall, CSU local councilor and Trachtler board member, has died.

Wall

– The news hit many out of the blue: Peter Huber, acting CSU councilor in Warngau and chairman of the Trachtenverein d'Höhastoana Wall, died unexpectedly after a short, serious illness.

Numerous companions from several associations, whom Peter Huber has often supported with advice and energy for decades, mourn with family and relatives.

Despite his 77 years, Peter Huber was still active in sports and involved in many different ways.

Wherever his help could do something, the catfish was there.

The municipal council, to which he has belonged for the CSU since 2014, also loses an active member.

In addition to the regular meetings, Huber was involved in several working groups with his expertise as a master bricklayer: from the lowering of the B 318 to childcare and the new construction of the bridges in Thalmühl to cycling.

"He was very, very committed," says Mayor Klaus Thurnhuber.

Huber's successor in the municipal council will not be clarified by the next meeting, which will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

The replacement will only be initiated after the funeral, explains Thurnhuber.

The shock is deep right now.

"We all still can't really believe it," says Thurnhuber.

Peter Huber became involved as a voluntary local politician in his home community after retiring in 2008 as head of the Bad Wiessee building yard.

He was active in clubs all his life.

For example, Huber was a founding member of SC Wall, which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary – unofficially, because he was not yet of legal age when it was founded.

The passionate soccer player also shaped the fortunes of TSV Bad Wiessee, which he chaired for ten years.

Huber was also engaged as a costumer.

Since 2015 he has served as chairman of the Höhastoana.

And in the elementary school and kindergarten in Wall, he took on the caretaker duties.

The funeral service for Peter Huber begins on Saturday, November 5, at 10 a.m. in the parish church of St. Margareth.

The fire brigade, traditional costume, sports and rifle club meet at 9.45 a.m. at the Gasthof Mehringer.
