Deir ez-Zor City Council has started implementing the works of lighting Port Said Street with solar energy, by installing 70 light points.
The head of the city council, Eng. Jarir Kakakhan, said in a statement to SANA reporter that after the completion of the infrastructure rehabilitation works, and the laying of the asphalt jacket on Port Said Street, the city council’s workshops began to work on installing solar-powered lighting poles.
Kakakhan indicated that the works include the installation of 70 solar-powered light points, extending along the street extending from Al-Dalla Roundabout to Harabish Roundabout, with a total length of about 1,800 meters on both sides of the road, noting that Port Said Street is one of the vital streets in the city, as it borders the city. From the southern side, it connects the eastern and western neighborhoods, and links the southern and eastern countryside of the governorate with the governorate center.
