We have known "Just not Bibi" for a long time. Now it's time for "just not Abbas"

These elections highlighted more than anything else - the differences between the Arab parties and the hatred of the Jewish public for them.

The sitting of Mansour Abbas in the Teir Nom coalition is from the eyes of two groups, and now they are happy about his return to the opposition.

In the past we got to know "Just Not Baby".

Now is the time "just not Abbas"

After dragging the country through five election campaigns in three years, Benjamin Netanyahu was finally able to get what he wanted and achieve an overwhelming and clear victory in the elections.

The victory was achieved thanks to his never-ending passion and lust (for better or worse) for power, and his never-ending efforts to bring about as many unifications in the bloc under his leadership as possible to avoid wasting votes.

This resulted in a situation where we received one bloc with only four lists (Ayelet Shaked was not a factor in the game for a moment), and on the other hand, a bloc whose "leader" fell in love with the position of Prime Minister, forgot about politics and arrived on election day unprepared with double the number of lists, eight compared to four, faced him , when he ends it with two lists very close to the blocking percentage but you see it from below.

And all this on the assumption that the Balad and Hadash-Ta'al lists can be called part of the bloc, in light of their endless efforts in the outgoing Knesset to bring about the dissolution of the government. If that was not enough, there were those who advised Yair Lapid to go on a national campaign as if we were living in Switzerland and not in the Middle East - Probably not a wise move, especially when in front of you is the greatest campaigner in the history of Israeli politics.

First you have to admit the truth. Despite the near-equality in the number of votes received by the blocs - these were not really close elections as most polls broadcast in recent weeks. They were more reminiscent of a soccer cup final game that came To him two teams, one big from the top of the league and the other small from the bottom of the league. So on the one hand there is a big, well-trained team with a loud and boisterous crowd that wants to win and finish the story within 90 minutes - and in front of them stood a small team whose players and coach have not yet digested the size of the class and everything it wants It is to go through the game peacefully and finish with a draw with the aim of going to penalties in the hope of winning, somehow.

And everyone knows when you play for a draw in football you usually lose.

And that's exactly what happened last week.

Netanyahu came organized with voters who did not need to be prodded to go to the polls, and on the other hand Lapid stood with a number of parties around the blocking percentage - so the maximum he could achieve was a draw, and force a blocking bloc on Netanyahu and nothing more.

But without a doubt, these elections highlighted more than two points.

The first, the amount of hatred that prevails between the Arab parties.

The second - to what extent there are parts of the Jewish public that cannot come to terms with the fact that there is an Arab party in the coalition, in other words they call it "Jewish supremacy".

The yeshiva of Mansor Abbas and Ram in the apartment coalition changed not only the eyes of quite a few Jewish citizens who found it difficult to get up every morning and see Arabs around the circle of decision-makers, but also the eyes of the veterans of the Joint List who had a difficult year for them when they got to see Mansor Abbas as the most covered Arab figure in the Hebrew media due to his position in the outgoing coalition. They did everything they could during the government's tenure to bring it to an end, with the goal of seeing Mansour Abbas sitting on the opposition benches next to them and lacking any influence on the political game, just like them.

So it's true, those who dissolved the coalition in the end were Knesset members from the ruling party, the late Yamina, and not the members of the Joint List - bearing in mind that Oda and Tibi were absent from the first round of the first Semitic vote on the swearing in of the Bennett-Lapid government in order to guarantee it a majority in the plenum. But it is impossible To ignore the world war they waged against the coalition in general, and against Mansur Abbas in particular, for a whole year in order to embarrass him again and again in front of the Arab public who are not sufficiently familiar with the coalition's rules of the game because they have never experienced a coalition meeting.

So it's true, in the end, Abbas and Ram ended the elections as the largest Arab party with five mandates, when they would not have been far from the sixth mandate if it weren't for the Havalad campaign that they conducted in Hadash-Ta'al for a whole week to enter the Knesset. This campaign apparently resulted in a swing in votes, and without "D" remained outside the Knesset, which can only indicate the support that Abbas's path receives in Arab society compared to his competitors.

But every reasonable person understands that their influence on Abbas and Ram on the political game in the 25th Knesset is going to be marginal, and similar to the influence of his former partners in the joint list when they obtained 13 and 15 mandates together but had no influence in the Knesset except for completing the number of MKs for -120.

It is sad to say this, but it is the truth - their influence on the Arab parties on the political game in Israel is almost non-existent, and this is for a variety of reasons.

Of course, not everything is solely their fault, I will also expand and say that there are Arab parties running for the Knesset out of purely economic considerations, with the aim of obtaining financing units from the Knesset amounting to millions of shekels, and not necessarily out of a belief that they will become a factor in the game.

knew how to play.

In recent years, an interesting situation has arisen in Israel following the division of the country into "only Bibi" and "only non-Bibi", a situation that Mansor Abbas knew how to make good use of in order to get "kosher" from Netanyahu in order to enter the coalition and influence the political game.

What caused him to become one of the most sought after and scrutinized figures in the country, but in the end it led his former Arab partners to embark on an uncompromising journey to bring about the dissolution of the coalition and the reign of Netanyahu and his natural partners - Smotrich and Ben Gabvir - with the ultimate goal being to see Abbas out of the game.

In other words, if in Jewish society the term "only not Bibi" has existed for several years - then in Arab society the term "only not Abbas" was born last year.

At the same time, these elections also proved that quite a few sections of Jewish society were raised on an overt/covert education of Jewish supremacy, an education that brought to the world all kinds of slogans such as "Who owns the house here?", "A government with Arabs is dangerous", "Give billions to the Arabs " and more.

This only explains the influx of the Jewish public to the polling stations, especially in the strongholds of the right, to ensure a government without Arabs.

the truth?

There is nothing to be surprised, we live in a country where there are still Jews who find it difficult to turn on the television and see an Arab on the commentary panel.

So what's the wonder that it's hard for them to see Arab MKs in the coalition? On the other hand, it's really funny when such behavior comes from the direction of a public that never stops complaining about antisemitism in the world.
