(CNN Spanish) --

Florida will vote this November 8 in the general elections in which several public positions will be elected, including governor, national senators, state legislatures and other popularly elected positions.

Just over 14.4 million voters are registered to participate in the general election in Florida, who will be able to vote either early, or on the day of the general election.

Voting is already underway in Florida for the 2022 election, in which Ron DeSantis is seeking a second term as governor.

In Florida, counties opened early voting sites on Oct. 24, and will close them the day before the Nov. 8 election.

Voters may cast their ballot at any early voting location, but must report to their assigned precinct on Election Day.

However, Governor DeSantis made some adjustments for the three affected counties and also allows the vote to take place there on November 7.

  • Conspiracy theories are predictable.

These are some of the ones you will see on Election Day

The gubernatorial election

Governor Ron DeSantis, who is a Republican, will face Democrat Charlie Crist who won the Florida primary.

DeSantis and Crist squared off in a single debate before the election at the Sunrise Theater in Fort Pierce, Florida.

The Democratic nominee, with almost nothing to lose, repeatedly put DeSantis on the defensive about the divisive agenda that has catapulted the Republican to stardom within his party.

Crist's goal was two-fold: to build momentum for the final weeks of the race in Florida and to damage the national reputation of DeSantis, who is also weighing a potential presidential primary campaign against former President Donald Trump as he seeks re-election as governor.
