New managerial staff in the main and building authorities, promotions and the departure of long-serving staff: the employee structure is currently changing in the Peißenberg town hall.

Mayor Frank Zellner speaks of an "opportunity" to reorganize the municipal administration as a "service provider for the citizen".

Peißenberg – Johannes Pfleger worked for the market town for 46 years, 14 of them as manager in the town hall.

Nurse has now retired.

Heike Hill took over the main office on November 1st (we reported).

But Pfleger's farewell is not the only one in the town hall administration.

In September, the head of the building authority, Bernhard Schregle, moved to the municipal administration in Raisting at his own request.

The chemistry between him and parts of the market council was no longer right.

But a successor has now also been found for Schregle.

Accordingly, the building authority will be headed by Birgit Thaller in the future.

The 53-year-old from Peitingen has been working in the Peißenberg town hall for a good year.

She was hired as deputy head of the building authority, but after Schregle's departure she is now in the first rank.

So far, Thaller has been in charge of the subject area "building regulations and traffic law" and prepared the facts from the department for the meetings of the building committee and market council.

And she apparently did so very convincingly: the municipal council unanimously approved Thaller's appointment as head of the building department in a closed session.

"She deals openly and transparently with the committees," said the head of the main office, Heike Hill, in praise of her colleague - and: "Ms. Thaller treats the employees with great respect.

The focus in the building authority is on teamwork.”

Thaller will also be responsible for land use planning in the future.

This means that it will be directly involved in local planning and can help shape the community.

Before she moved to Peißenberg, she worked for 25 years in the Diessen town hall administration in the regulatory office.

The reorientation is not inconvenient for her: "I was looking for a new challenge." Thaller had initially given himself time to think about taking over the management position, "but with the team in the building authority I have the confidence to do it".

She is happy to accept the occasional overtime: "I don't want to do the whole thing half-heartedly," emphasizes Thaller.

Her personal details correspond exactly to the credo of the new head of the main office, "to preserve and further develop skills internally".

Benedikt Zeitler, who was appointed chief technical inspector effective October 1, also fits into this pattern.

The 30-year-old Andechser graduated from university with a degree in IT administration.

"I'm grateful that the market made this possible for me," explains Zeitler.

The IT team in the town hall - according to Hill a "highly competent" - is to further advance digitization and develop IT security concepts.

This applies not only to the town hall administration itself, but also to the two elementary schools and the middle school, which the market looks after as a material expense bearer.

Technically qualified employees - like Benedikt Zeitler - are a prerequisite for this.

Even if other positions are to be advertised "to fill vacancies", Mayor Frank Zellner believes that the town hall administration is well positioned overall.

Due to the departures of Pfleger and Schregle, technical skills would initially be lacking, but personnel changes would also offer opportunities.
