Mobile medical clinics operating in the cancer investigation campaign continued their work in the Soran health area in Hama countryside for the second day in a row, amid heavy demand from the people to benefit from their free services by conducting breast, cervical and prostate cancer screening tests.
The head of Soran Health District, Dr. Samih Al-Hussein, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the four medical clinics, which were distributed in the cities and towns of Souran, Taybet Al-Imam, Morek, and Mardis, conducted various examinations for about 300 people within two days, indicating that the high turnout of the patients to conduct the examinations reflects their awareness of the importance of maintaining their health. And avoid infection with a malicious disease.
He pointed out that the number of people who benefited from the examinations conducted by the Soran Health District since the beginning of the campaign in Hama on the 19th of last September until today has exceeded three thousand people, which is more than the target set for the campaign, noting that 200 percent of the campaign plan for withdrawal checks has been implemented. In turn, Mrs. Umm Wasel indicated that, since she reached the age of 40, she conducts mammograms annually to check on her health based on the advice of doctors, especially since breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women, especially married women, noting that the mobile medical clinic experience was successful because it reached people in their areas and saved them a great effort.
The mobile medical clinics have toured most areas of Hama governorate since the beginning of the campaign on the 19th of last September to date, where the number of beneficiaries has exceeded about 29 thousand people.
