The Andalusian Parliament knocks down a question from the PSOE about the criminal plot in Marbella

The Board considers that the issue has no place in the plenary because it deals with matters "of municipal competence" and because it alludes to events of other legislatures.

The Board of the Parliament of Andalusia, with an absolute majority of the PP, has refused this Wednesday to process a question from the socialist group about the criminal plot that affects the mayor of Marbella (Málaga) and senator, Ángeles Muñoz (PP).

The National Court is investigating her husband, Lars Gunnar Broberg, 79, and his son, Joakim Peter Broberg, 49, for drug trafficking and money laundering.

The Socialists intended to include in the control session of the Government that is being held on Thursday a highly topical oral question on this case addressed to the Minister of the Presidency, Antonio Sanz.

The governing body of the Chamber has not qualified it and, therefore, has rejected it, due to “technical criteria”.

According to sources from the Bureau, the question has no place in the plenary because it deals with matters "of municipal competence" and because the facts to which the question alludes date back to other legislatures.

The socialist spokesperson and deputy general secretary of the PSOE, Ángeles Férriz, has described the rejection of the Table as "cacicada" and "veto", at a press conference in which several members of the leadership of the socialist parliamentary group were present.

Férriz has directly accused the president of the Board, Juan Manuel Moreno, of giving the order to stop the processing of the initiative.

"What does Moreno Bonilla have to cover up to commit the cacicada again and not talk about the scandal that occurred in Marbella?", She has affirmed.

According to her, the judicial investigation "is not just any scandal, it has as its epicenter the PP of Malaga, cradle" of the Andalusian president and Elías Bendodo, current national coordinator of the PP, former advisor to the Presidency and former president of the Malaga PP and the Deputation.

according to which the mayor of Marbella awarded the company Codecosol SL, involved in the investigation by the National Court, more than 600,000 euros in municipal works between 2011 and 2015. Part of those funds, specifically 250,000 euros, come from the so-called Protect Plan of the Junta de Andalucía launched by the then socialist government.

The Socialists ask the Government that in the event that this money could end up "feeding the coffers of an alleged international drug trafficking and money laundering plot", it will request some action from the legal cabinet of the Board in defense of the general interest of public resources” of the community.

The PP has tried to downplay the Table's rejection of processing the question.

And its spokesperson, Toni Martín, has recalled that the mayor of Marbella is neither "indicted for anything" nor is she being "investigated" by the judge.

He has also highlighted that the investigations on adjudications in the City Council “were filed in 2017 ″.

This was more or less the same response that the President of the Board gave 15 days ago in the corridors of Parliament.

"To date there is no accusation of the mayor of Marbella or any member of the corporation," he said.

When asked if he supports Ángeles Muñoz, Moreno avoided a specific answer: "I'm saying that I don't have any more information," he insisted.

Ángeles Muñoz has been mayor of Marbella since 2007. In 2015, a quadripartite agreement placed the PSOE at the head of the corporation, although the alliance only lasted two years and the popular senator returned to the mayor's office.

In the municipal elections of 2019 she won by absolute majority.
