Hurricane Nicole made landfall just south of Vero Beach, Florida, according to the 3 a.m. update from the National Hurricane Center.
It weakened to a tropical storm after hitting the east coast of Florida as a Category 1 hurricane on Thursday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center.
