In turn, Syria's ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, told SANA: that Syria is present in all cultural, scientific and artistic activities, because it believes in science and the message of Arab culture, indicating that the Syrian book was and still enjoys great importance in international Arab exhibitions.

The head of the Syrian Publishers Association, Haitham Hafez, and the general manager of Al-Hafiz Publishing House confirmed that the Syrian book is one of the founders of the Sharjah fair, and the number of Syrian participants this year is about 95, noting that the Syrian publishing industry is working to overcome the crisis of printing techniques, and the effects of the war to present the true picture. of Syrian culture.

The pavilions of the Syrian houses witnessed a huge turnout, and the books displayed varied between historical and heritage, while one of the houses included the publications of the Ministry of Culture and Syrian university books.

Raslan Aladdin, General Manager of Aladdin Printing and Publishing House, confirmed that the Sharjah exhibition is one of the main exhibitions in the Arab region, and receives great Arab and international attention. , which is a competitor and has a well-established position in the Arab library.

Manya Sweed, owner of Sweid House, participating in the exhibition, explained that the Syrian author and book attracts many readers and intellectuals, because of its realistic and sober Syrian language, which gives birth to creativity, but we need to strengthen the role of marketing culture.

Emirati media professionals and intellectuals praised the importance of the Syrian participation in the exhibition, as the media personality, Hazza Al Shehhi of the Sharjah Radio and Television Authority, demonstrated the importance of Syria’s participation in transmitting the sublime culture and its ancient history to all lovers of reading. its natural place.

The journalist Maan Al-Badri said: The participation of Syria is very impressive through the presence of publishing houses, various publications and Syrian writers, while the Emirati writer Muhammad Al-Jabri said that Syria is always a beacon to all countries of the world, and its participation is a great addition to the exhibition, and it has merit over many Emirati intellectuals and writers, who They were founded by Syrian professors whom we are proud of.

Abeer Al-Akkad, one of the Syrian visitors to the exhibition, said: "Syria is the basis of literature in the Arab world. Despite the war, it continued to produce literary, historical and heritage."

The Sharjah International Book Fair, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, is considered an important window for the Arab and Syrian publisher, and its ongoing cultural program, until November 13, includes activities, dialogue sessions, workshops for young writers and writers, and various activities for children.
