Excavator rams the drawbridge: rail traffic between Tutzing and Kochel temporarily stopped

Rail traffic on the route between Tutzing and Kochel had to be briefly interrupted on Thursday.
An excavator had rammed a drawbridge.
Penzberg – There is bad news at Deutsche Bahn almost every day, as far as delayed or canceled trains are concerned.
On Thursday, November 10th, another case was added - but for once, DB couldn't help it.
Excavator rams bridge: Driver continues anyway
As reported by the police, at 9.45 a.m., a 50-year-old Kochler drove in a semitrailer from a Bad Tölz company with a loaded mini excavator down Ludwig-März-Strasse in Penzberg towards the city centre.
The driver drove the team under the railway bridge and scraped the roof of the bridge with the mini excavator.
The impact bent the mini excavator's cab, causing all windows to shatter and part of the frame to break.
The shards and the left frame of the mini excavator fell onto the road.
The 50-year-old drove on anyway.

According to the police, the driver was identified after intensive investigations.
The damage to the bridge is estimated at around 500 euros, according to a DB spokeswoman, the train service, which had been interrupted for safety reasons, was resumed at 10:50 a.m.
The damage to the mini excavator is around 40,000 euros.
