They carried out their threats.
The group of Russian-speaking hackers Lockbit 3.0 posted this Friday on the dark web confidential data relating to the company Thalès, victim of a cyberattack on October 31, according to France Info.
The hackers had indicated as soon as their cyberattack that “all available data would be published”, after a countdown running until November 7.
The French electronics group specializing in aerospace, defense and security assured France Info that it had not received a ransom demand.
A group already affected in January
This is the second time this year that the French company has been the victim of a massive hack, after a first attack in January.
The same cybercriminals had already been able to appropriate data and Thalès had apparently not yielded to the blackmail of the ransom demand.
Several hundred Zip files, the most recent dated January 1, 2022, had been exposed by the hackers.
These were internal tools, including computer code.
The Lockbit 3.0 hacker group has already claimed several victims in France.
They are notably at the origin of a major cyberattack against the Corbeil-Essonnes hospital where they demanded a ransom in exchange for the non-publication of the stolen data.
Recently, the town hall of Chaville (Hauts-de-Seine) was also affected.
