A dramatic development on the fighting front in southern Ukraine:
this morning (Friday), the Russian army blew up the main bridge to the city of Kherson, the Antonevsky Bridge, two days after the announcement of a withdrawal from the right bank of the Dnieper River and the city of Kherson.
Before the retreat, the Russians blew up the local television antenna, and worse, caused heavy damage to the nearby power plant.
The meaning: damage to the water supply to the city.

In photos circulated on social networks, the bridge can be seen with a large part of it collapsed.
In addition, footage of a Russian sabotage team on a boat operating near the bridge was also circulated on social media.
In other videos published by Russian bloggers, Russian soldiers are seen evacuating the city on foot on a makeshift boat bridge.
Also, Ukrainian partisans hung the Ukrainian flag on the monument in the city's central square and documented the act, and unofficial media in Ukraine reported the entry of special forces into the city of Kherson itself.

After the departure of the Russian army from Harson, residents began to gather in the center of the city and waved the flag of Ukraine and the flag of the European Union, waiting for the liberating forces, who according to some reports are on the outskirts of the city.
Kherson is the only provincial capital that was captured by the Russian army during its invasion of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, despite the lack of an official report from the authorities in Ukraine, yesterday (Thursday) documentation appeared on social networks that showed that the Ukrainian army managed to liberate the villages of Cheklov, Kalinivska, Stanislav and nearly 10 other towns.
Ukrainian soldiers were recorded waving flags over the liberated sites as well as standing next to abandoned Russian military equipment such as trucks, tanks and armored personnel carriers.

The "Financial Times" reported yesterday that after the liberation of the city of Kherson, all three Russian supply routes in southern Ukraine will be in the range of Ukrainian fire.
These supply routes connect to Crimea - the peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014 and used as one of the bases for the invasion in February.
According to the newspaper, the forced withdrawal to the East Bank "drops from Moscow the greatest military achievement of the war and increases Ukraine's possibilities for the winter."
The retreat even takes the big city of Mykolaiv out of range - for the first time since March.
