Opening of the annual exhibition of handicrafts and creativity in the Church of Beit El in Aleppo

With the participation of 30 businesswomen, the annual exhibition of handmade and creative works, which is held by the Protestant Armenian Church of “Beit El” Women’s Committee, was opened in the church hall.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Reverend Harutyun Soleimian, head of the Armenian Protestant sect in Syria, the importance of the exhibition organized by women products, during which they present the most important handicrafts and products that are manufactured in homes.

He added that the three-day exhibition constitutes a commercial market for women who have undergone vocational and educational training courses and gained experience in the manufacture of handicrafts, which contributes to generating new income for families and improving their living conditions in the community.

The head of the Businesswomen’s Committee of the Bethel Tallinn Arbatlian Church said that the exhibition has become an annual tradition in which women who are producers gather under the roof of love and work, to present what their fingers have created of good quality handicrafts, and at low prices of jewelry, wool, and types of foods and sweets for which the Armenian folklore and heritage cuisine is famous. Noting the role of women producers in this exhibition, the resources of which will go to charitable organizations.

SANA's camera monitored the opinions of a number of participants, where Shafik Yacoubian explained that she participates with her mother in the manufacture and presentation of Armenian foods for which Armenian families have been famous since ancient times, considering that the exhibition constitutes an important opportunity to introduce these products.

Koharik Kalstian indicated that it offers household mortar varieties of fig, cherry, apricot and pumpkin jams, in addition to the manufacture of thyme, pomegranate molasses and peppers, which shoppers prefer as it is a handicraft at reasonable and discounted prices. , thus developing her talent and helping her in her studies.
