A 36-year-old Giesinger falls on the rails and is run over by a train.
The drunk man is not in mortal danger, but both lower legs had to be amputated.
Munich – It is the second serious train station accident in Munich in just one week.
Another man fell into the track as a train pulled in.
The 36-year-old, who fell on the rails at the main train station on Thursday evening, had no chance to get to safety in time.
He was rolled over.
He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

After all, the man is no longer in mortal danger.
The doctors at the hospital were able to save Giesinger, but had to amputate both of his lower legs.
The doctor treating him praised the first aid measures taken by the federal police officers: “The man’s chances of survival were significantly improved thanks to the first aid measures taken quickly.”

Drunk falls on the track: the train's emergency braking is too late
The recordings of the surveillance cameras show how the 36-year-old was there alone.
He walked drunk and swaying heavily across the platform.
When he was almost at the end, he fell onto the track.
In the darkness, the train driver of the incoming Railjet recognized the 36-year-old too late.
Despite initiated emergency braking, he could not prevent the train from running over the Munich.
Just last Sunday, a man fell in front of a train at Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn station.
But any help came too late for him.
