The Digos of the Padua Police Headquarters began 5 searches at dawn at the homes of militants and at the headquarters of the Casapound movement.
The activity is part of an investigation coordinated by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic of Padua Sergio Dini.
The investigations, coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office, were launched after, on the night of last October 28, numerous neofascist spray-paint writings appeared in the historic center of Padua, in particular along the perimeter wall of the Faculty of Political Sciences , in via del Santo, at the "Nievo" school in via Barbarigo and in other streets of the historic center.
The frisked people, all young people aged between 20 and 30 years living in the province, are being investigated for the crime of condoning fascism and aggravated damage.
At the end of the searches, in addition to the clothing and helmets used during the damage, other objects were seized including a baseball bat, a balaclava, numerous smoke bombs and illuminating torches, flags, magazines and other propaganda material, ranging from to substantiate the investigative hypothesis.
