The fire brigade, rescue service and police responded to a defective pellet heating system in Vaterstetten - and were able to quickly give the all-clear.
Vaterstetten – Because of smoke over an apartment building in Vaterstetten, Am Brunnen, there was a large-scale operation last Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m.
As the Poinger police announced on Monday, 22 emergency services from the Vaterstetten fire brigade and two district fire inspectors came to the scene because of the report that smoke was coming from an apartment.
In addition, three ambulances and an emergency doctor as well as two patrols from the Poing police station were on site.
Smoke from chimney instead of apartment
After a short search by the fire brigade, however, the all-clear was quickly given: the smoke was not coming from any of the apartments, but through the chimney.
According to the police, the reason for the smoke development was a technical defect in the pellet heating system in the house.
After the examination, the residents were allowed to return to their homes.
