The deadly attack in Istanbul: Turkey's Minister of the Interior, Suleiman Soylu, announced early Monday morning that the woman suspected of planting the bomb that caused the explosion that killed six people, including a father and daughter, and injured dozens was arrested.

In his statement, the Turkish Interior Minister accused the suspect of belonging to the Kurdish PKK underground, and claimed: "In our estimation, the attack came from the Ain al-Arab area, in northern Syria," where the underground's headquarters are located.

"We will react harshly against those responsible for the horrific terrorist attack," said Soylo, who updated that the current number of injured is 81, of which two are in critical condition.
As mentioned, six people lost their lives in the attack.
For now, no organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Erdogan: "Heinous terrorist attack"
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, gave a short speech to the nation in which he said that this was a "heinous attack" and that his country would do everything to bring those responsible for the act to justice.
According to a quote from the Turkish media outlet TRT, Erdogan even said that "a woman is involved" in the incident, but did not specify whether it was a suicide bomber.
He also said that the incident "smells like terrorism".
Later, Vice President Fuat Oktay said that "we are treating the incident as terrorism" and added that indeed "a terrorist activated the device".
