While Istiklal Avenue, the beating heart of Istanbul, is adorned with red in tribute to the victims of the attack on Sunday afternoon, a wind of anger and uncertainty hangs over the cultural capital of Turkey.
Pointed out by the Turkish authorities, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), a Kurdish armed organization recognized as terrorist by Ankara, but also by the European Union and the United States, insists:

For their part, the Syrian Democratic Forces (anti-Daesh military coalition supported by the United States in Syria, which relies heavily on the YPG, the Syrian branch of the PKK) have also denied being linked to the attack.
“According to our conclusions, the terrorist organization PKK is responsible”,
however affirmed Monday the Minister for the Interior, Süleyman Soylu.
