The Minister of Culture, Dr. Labana Mashouh, discussed with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Syria, Shahid Akhtar, the promotion of cooperation in all cultural fields and the exchange of cultural products and experiences, which would shed light on the creative movement and cultural heritage of the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, which was held today in the building of the Ministry of Culture, the cultural reality in both countries was reviewed, stressing the importance of developing cultural relations and expanding their horizons.
The two sides discussed the possibility of exchanging cinematic weeks, conducting orchestras, translating major books on Pakistani literature and thought within the national plan for translation, and the possibility of offering scholarships to Syrian students wishing to specialize in subjects related to archeology and the arts.
