", wrote the Leipzig player on social networks, promising the Blues to be their "
first supporter
".
Victim Tuesday evening of a sprained left knee during the final training before the departure for Qatar, Nkunku left the France group, replaced by Randal Kolo Muani.
The attacker also sent "
a thought for (...) Eduardo Camavinga, unfairly targeted
" according to him.
Footage of Nkunku's injury does show that the Real Madrid player was involved in the action in question, but no clash or contact between the two men is evident.
"
The World Cup should be a time of communion, not division
," added Nkunku.
Camavinga had indeed been the subject of several racist comments on social networks after the publication of the video of his compatriot's injury.
