Most Britons say Brexit is the wrong decision.
This is the result of a new survey by the opinion research institute YouGov.
Accordingly, 56 percent of those surveyed said that the UK's exit from the EU, which was completed almost two years ago, was not the right decision.
32 percent of respondents still thought Brexit was a good thing.
The rejection of Brexit has therefore reached a record high.
YouGov has been asking the British public since shortly after the referendum in 2016 whether they thought it was right or wrong to vote to leave the EU.
Previous polls showed that up until the 2017 general election, more people thought Brexit was the right decision than not.
Since then, with the exception of very brief periods in April 2020 and April 2021, public opinion has swung the other way and the latest results show the gap is widest so far: those who think leaving are wrong are 24 Points ahead of those who think it's right.
In the 2016 referendum, 51.9 percent of British voters voted for the country to leave the European Union.
Voter turnout was more than 70 percent.
