(CNN) --
Cristiano Ronaldo cast doubt on his return to Manchester United after the World Cup in Qatar and praised Leo Messi - whom he clashed with for years while the Portuguese was playing for Real Madrid - in the second part of his exclusive interview with Piers Morgan this Thursday.
Ronaldo, who previously told Morgan he felt betrayed by Manchester United and was being forced to leave, cast doubt on a possible return to the club after the 2022 World Cup.

"It's hard for me to say right now because my mood right now is with the World Cup," Ronaldo said.
"It will probably be my last World Cup, my fifth World Cup. I don't know what will happen after the World Cup, but as I have told you before and I will say it again, the fans will always be in my heart... whether I come back or not or stay, whatever."

Morgan asked Ronaldo about Leo Messi, the star of the Argentine national team and Barcelona, whom he described as a "great guy who does great things for football."
"Incredible player, it's magical... As a person, we shared the stage for 16 years, imagine, 16 years we shared," said Ronaldo.
"Therefore, I have a great relationship with him. I'm not friends with him in terms of… what I mean is that friends like the person who was at your house, you talked on the phone, no, but he's like a partner team. He's a guy I respect a lot because of the way he always talks about me... What am I going to say about Messi? A great guy who does great things for football".
